pork adobo

Serves 2-3 people. Best paired with a cup of rice.

Ingredients

Instructions

  1. Sautee garlic and onion in a wok pan over medium heat
  2. When the garlic is golden brown and the onion is soft, turn the heat to high and add the pork. Pan fry until the sides are golden brown.
  3. Add soy sauce and oyster sauce and continue frying and mixing until the sauce is reduced.
  4. Add water until the pork is submerged, then lower the heat to a medium
  5. Once the water is boiling, add ground pepper and bay leaves (to taste)
  6. Cover the pan with a lid and let the pork cook and tenderize. I let it cook for around 30–45 minutes, adding water as needed.
  7. Once the meat is tender, pour in the vinegar. Let it boil before covering the pan again.
  8. After 10-15 minutes, remove the cover and continue mixing the meat with the sauce until the sauce is reduced and has a slightly thicker consistency. Add more pepper as needed.
  9. Turn off the stove and serve! 😋
